Day Wise Itinerary
Arrive –Srinagar – Kargil
Arrival at Srinagar Airport you will be met by our Representative/Driver. Transfer to Kargil which is about 204 kilometers from Srinagar. After 2 hrs journey you will reach Sonmarg (The Meadow of Gold) famous for Landscape and snowcapped high peaks. Enjoy tea/Lunch and take some photos. Get ready for more adventurous drive through Zojila pass which is 3900 mts above the sea level and is the highest pass between Srinagar and Kargil road. This road remains open from April till Nov and it’s the only road which connects Kargil, Zanaskar & Ladakh with Kashmir valley.
Continue driving towards Kargil, you will pass through several villages and within next 3 – 4 hrs you will be in Drass Village which is said to be the 2nd coldest place on earth after Siberia in Russia.
Also make a stop at Vijay War Memorial to pay homage to the brave hearts of Indian Army. From there you can have a magnificent view of Famous Kargil war Peaks (Tiger, Tololing).
By the evening, you will reach Kargil town; upon reaching there, check in at hotel

Kargil to Rangdum
After leisurely breakfast leave Random. Drive to beautiful Sankoo Village. The village of Sankoo in a bowl shaped valley that has been drained out by a large tributary steam of the Suru River. We carry on our drive to reach Panikhar and spend some quality time by doing walk to nearby Parkachik La to relish the amazing view of the glacier, north faced to Nun-Kun Mountain. We will reach Rangdum by the evening.
Dinner and overnight stay in Camp in Rangdum.
Rangdum – Padum
After breakfast leave for Padum (Zanskar) check out from Camps to drive further to Padum via Pensila (4450m)-the administrative capital of Zanskar. Around penzila there are also many unnamed glaciered peaks. And the famous Darang Durung Glacier. This area is very scenic and you will find many shepherd huts here Later visit Sani GompaDinner and overnight stay in hotel in Padum.
In Padum (Stongde, Zangla, Karsha )
After breakfast get ready for local sightseeing in Padum (Zanaskar)
Visit Stongde. An old foundation associated with the Tibetan Yogi, Marpa, Stongdey is now the second largest monastic establishment of Zanskar, inhabited by the resident community of about 60 Gelukpa monks.
Later on we will visit Zangla located on a hill top right side to village. Lying deep in the northern arm of Zanskar at the end of the 35 km. Long rough road from Padum, Zangla was being ruled by a titular king till his death a few years back.
After that KarshaGompa – Karsha is the largest and most important monastery in Zanskar. It is attributed to Padmasambhava. Before reaching our Hotel we will go approximately 12kilometers south of Padum

Padum – Kargil
After breakfast leave for Kargil enjoy verdant landscapes into starkly contrasting mountain desert terrain as you cross. Drive on the same road which you used to enter for Zanskar. Kargil by late afternoon.

Kargil – Leh via Namikila and Fotula Top
After breakfast embarks on a drive to Leh which is 230 kilometers from Kargil towntoday you have to ascend three passes. This day will be tiresome but panoramic too.First stop at MulbekhBuddhist village, visit the ancient rock cut statue of MaitreyaBuddha. Proceed further towards Lamayuru & passing thru Namikala Pass (3700 mts) 2nd highest Pass on Srinagar – Leh road then further up cross the highest pass (Fotula 13749 ft.) on Srinagar Leh route. At lunch time we will be at Lamayuru oldest monastery.Later stop for photo at lunar like landscapes near Lamayuru Monastery.
Continue drive to next village Nimu a view point of Zanskar river following into Indus also known as Sangam.
Final stop make at Magnetic hill is a gravity hill. The hill is alleged to have magnetic properties strong enough to pull cars uphill and force passing aircraft to increase their altitude in order to escape magnetic interference, while in fact, this is a purely optical effect caused by layout of the surroundings. Finally we reach Leh 3500 Mtrs.

Leh – Local Sightseeing – Leh
After breakfast, proceed Shanti Stupa
Shanti Stupa is situated on a hilltop in Chanspa. It was built in 1991 by Japanese Buddhist BhikshuGyomyo Nakamura. Shanti stupa has provides beautiful and panoramic view of the surrounding landscape and has become a primary reason for to become a popular tourist attraction. It was built to promote world peace and a symbol of the ties between the people of Japan and Ladakh. The stupa is open for tourists between 5:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Sunrise and sunset are considered to provide the best views from Shanti Stupa.
3 Idiots School, Shey, Thiksey Monastery and & Stok Palace Museum.
3 Idiots School: The school was featured in a 2007 episode as the Aamir Khan movie 3 Idiots. The school, where some parts of the 3-Idiots film was shot, is supported by international donors as well as Indian celebrities like actor Ameer Khan.
Shey Pish Pound & Shey Palace: This Fish Pond overlooks the Shey Palace and is located at the end of Thiksey – Shey link road. This pound is full of carp fishes. Also visit Shey Palace the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh.
Shey Palace, the erstwhile royal residence of the Ladakh monarchs, is the main attraction of Shey. The palace was built by King DeldanNamgyal in 1655 AD. Namgyal also made Shey his summer capital. It offers views of a vast expanse of the surrounding valleys

Leh – Nubra Valley via Khardung-la Pass
After an early breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung – la Pass which is situated at a height of 18360 ft and is considered as the highest motorable pass of the world. Once you arrive at Khalsar drive on the left towards Diskit& Hunder Village. Check in at your camp.
Visit Hunder Village and on sightseeing of Sand Dunes. Hunder is a small village where the Shyok River meets Nubra River. Hunder lies on the ancient silk rout. Hunder is most popular for the camel rides. Bactrian Double-humped Camels are used for safaris on sand dunes.
Also visit to Diskit monastery and Statue of Mytriya Buddha.
Diskit Monastery is the major attraction in the Nubra Valley and is the oldest and largest in the region. Close to the Monastery lies an impressive statue of Jampa Buddha. This Statue has become one of the prime attractions for tourists and is deeply appreciated for its architecture. Facing the Shyok river, the statue sits tall with a height of 32 meters and was constructed with the help of the natives of the valley.

Nubra Valley – Pangong Lake via Shyok (New Route)
After early breakfast at your camp drive to Pangong Lake via Shyok. This direct route from Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso has now become more popular in the recent past years Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso instead of coming back to Leh. Drive from Nubra to Pangong via Agham – Shyok and Continue drive to Pangong drive through Durbuk and Tangtse village situated in the Changthang region of Ladakh. Pangong Lake is salt water body of 120 km in length and 6 – 7 Km broad at the longest point. It is bisected by the international border between India & China (2/3 of the lake is in China’s possession). Visit the exact location of the famous movie “Three idiots” & enjoy outing along the banks of the lake. One really feels very close to nature at Pangong Lake with its scenic surroundings. On a clear sunny day, you can see seven colour formations in the crystal clear salt water lake. All together it covers 604 km2. During winter the lake freezes completely, despite being saline water. It’s reported there are no fish or other aquatic life in the lake. On the other hand you will see numerous ducks and gulls over and on the lake surface.

Pangong Lake – Leh via Changla Pass
During early morning, you can enjoy a photo-session around the lake. Post breakfast, drive back to Leh through changla Pass via Changla Pass (17,586 feet) third highest pass. After crossing Changla Pass you will get picturesque villages of Sakti, Chemday Monastery.
Arrive Leh and check in your hotel. Take rest.

Leh – Departure
After breakfast in morning, you’ll be transferred to KushokBakula airport to catch flight for onward destination with sweet holiday memories.
