Tour Plan

01

Day 1: Arrival in Leh evening explore Shanti Stupa & Market By Bike

On arrival at Kushok Bakula airport in Leh (situated at a height of 3,500 meters), you will be transferred to your hotel. Leh Flight is considered one of the most sensational flights in the world. During the day, acclimatize yourself with the weather and high pressure of Ladakh.

Evening visit to Shanti Stupa built in 1991 by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu Gyomyo Nakamura. It provides beautiful and panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. Shanti Stupa in Ladakh was built to promote world peace and a symbol of the ties between Japan and Ladakh.

Finally, In the evening, take a walk to the local bazaar in Leh.

Day 2: Leh – Full day Local Sightseeing – Leh (Excursion) By Bike

After a delicious breakfast at your camp leave for the day excursion to enjoy a comfortable

3 Idiots School: The School was featured in a 2007 episode as the Amir Khan movie 3 idiots. The school, where some parts of the 3-idiots film was short, is supported by the international donors as well as indian celebrities like Aamir Khan

Shey Palace: The former summer palace of the King of Ladakh and erstwhile royal residence of the Ladakh monarchs, is the main attraction.

Thiksey: Spectacularly sighted, Thiksey is one of the largest and architecturally most impressive gompa. There are several temples in this gompa, containing images stupas and wall painting of Buddha’s which are exquisite.

Stok Palace Museum: Where the present day royal family resides. Stok Palace and museum was built in the year 1825, by King Tespal Tondup Namgyal. At present the place has a collection of royal dresses and crown etc. which is open for travelers. Drive back to Leh.

Day 3: Leh – Nubra Valley via Khardungla Top By Bike

After delicious breakfast at the hotel drive to Nubra Valley (125 kms) via Khardungla Pass which is situated at a height of 18360 ft and is considered as the highest motorable pass of the world.

Once you arrive at Khalsar drive on the left towards Diskit & Hunder Village. Check in at your camp/Hotel. Drive to Hunder Sand Dunes to enjoy Camel Safari (OPTIONAL) on the shabby double humped Bactrian camels.

Hunder is a small village where the Shyok River meets Nubra River. It lies on the ancient silk rout. Hunder is most popular for the camel rides.

Finally, Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel/Camp in Nubra.

Day 4: Nubra Valley – Pangong Lake via Shyok By Bike

After delicious breakfast at yourcamp drive to Pangong Lake via Shyok.This direct route from Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso has now become more popular in past few years. Drive from Nubra to Pangong via Agham – Shyok drive through Durbuk and Tangtse village situated in the Changthang region of Ladakh. Pangong Lake is salt water, 120 km in length and 6 – 7 Km broad at the longest point. It is bisected by the international border between India & China. Visit the exact location of the famous movie “Three idiots” & enjoy outing along the banks of the lake. One really feels very close to nature at Pangong Lake with its scenic surroundings.

Day 5: Pangong Lake – Tsomoriri Lake By Bike

After delicious breakfast at your camp drive to Tsomoriri Lake which is around 235 Kms via Chushul Route. From Spangmik, drive on right next to the lake. It is an awesome and a very scenic drive. Cross the village of Man and continue towards Merak. Continue towards Khaltse and from there to Chushul. At Chushul, you can take a quick break and visit the Chushul War Memorial, dedicated to the heroes who lost their lives in battle with China. From Chushul, head towards the high altitude pass of Tsaga La, also known as Chagga La. Today will cross 3 high altitude passes.

Finally, Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the Camp in Pangong.

Day 6: Tsomoriri Lake – Tsokar – Tanglangla – Leh By Bike

After delicious breakfast drive to Leh via Tsokar Lake route. On the way, visit the Puga Geo-thermal Gas Springs and Nomadic Rebo tents at Polo- Kongka Pass. After crossing the pass, stop by Tsokar Lake for a photo stop. If you wish to, you can also visit the monastery of tiny Thukje village. Upon reaching Manali highway, cross the Tanglangla Pass which is located in an altitude of 5350 meter. By the evening check in at hotel.

Day 7: Leh – Alchi – Likir – Leh (Excursion) By Bike

After delicious breakfast at the hotel, and get ready for an amazing trip to Alchi one of the oldest monasteries and have scriptures dated as old as 10th century. The village Alchi differentiates itself from other villages of Ladakh by being so lush green. The excitement of the day will begin with Hall of fame (A Museum built by Indian Army) visit Gurdwara Pathar Sahib which was built in 1517 in the memory of Guru Nanak. Visit to the famous Magnetic Hill will be next. Placed on Leh-Kargil-Srinagar Highway, at an altitude of 11,000 feet above the sea level, it is also known as Gravity hill. You will be visiting Sangam Point or the confluence point of Zanskar and Indus rivers.

While drive back to Leh Enroute visit to Likir Monastery, houses a 25 feet Lord gold covered Buddha Statue. Views from the terrace are amazing. You will be amused to see the models created with butter which do not melt. Time to leave towards Leh.

Day 8: Departure from Leh, End of Tour
