Tour Plan

01

Day 1: Manali – Jispa

Arrival at Manali & drive to Jispa (4253m) drive through Dacha, Patsao, Zingzing Bar and over Baralacha-La (4892m) pass, which is one of the most dangerous pass among other passes on the way to Leh. And one can see excellent panoramic views of the high rising sky touching mountains is likely C.B., K.R. (range) and Mulkilla mushrooming mountains massif. And also just on the top of Baralacha- La is having a lake Suraj Tal a source of two major rivers Chandra & Bhaga surrounded by C.B. mountain ranges and gradual descent down through Kalung Sarai to Sarchu. Continue drive to Pang drive through two high passes are known as Lachalang-La and second one just above the Brandy Bridge and cross Moorie plains and arrive at Tanglangla Pass (5400 M) and enter in Leh Valley. Your further drive will take you to Upshi by crossing river Indus and follow the highway up to Leh. Continue drive to Leh. Arrive Leh and check – in at hotel.

Day 2: Manali - Jispa

After delicious breakfast at the hotel/Camp leave for Leh en-route crossing Nakeela and Lachalung-la Pass (16,617 ft.). Break for lunch at Pang and then drive on towards Leh passing through Skyangchu Thang (a vast plateau stretching for 42 kms) and then crossing Taglang-La (17,585ft) and driving through the upper Indus Valley. Reach Leh by evening. Your further drive will take you to Upsi by crossing river Indus and follow the highway up to Leh.

Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.

Day 3: Leh - Sham Valley Tour - Leh

After breakfast at hotel proceed for Sham Valley which includes Hall of fame, Gurdwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hills, Sangam, Hall of Fame: The Hall of Fame, located near the Leh Airfield, is a museum constructed as well as maintained by the Indian Army in the memory of the soldiers who had lost their lives during the Indo-Pak wars. Gurdwara Pathar Sahib: is a beautiful Gurdwara sahib constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak, The Gurdwara was built in 1517 to commemorate the visit to the Ladakh region of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder Guru of the Sikh faith. Magnetic Point:  is a gravity hill located on Srinagar - Leh National highway. The hill is alleged to have magnetic properties strong enough to pull cars uphill and force passing aircraft to increase their altitude in order to escape magnetic interference; in reality, the effect is an optical illusion created by the gravity hill. Sangam: is the confluence of the rivers Indus and Zanskar. Just the view of Sangam Valley from the road above it can make you swoon in ecstasy. The colors of the two rivers can be distinctly seen at the confluence. It is an amazing place to sit, relax, and enjoy a picnic with family and friends.

Day 4: Leh - Nubra Valley via Khardung-la Pass

After an early breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung - la Pass which is situated at a height of 18360 ft and is considered as the highest motorable pass of the world. Once you arrive at Khalsar drive on the left towards Diskit & Hunder Village. Check in at your camp. Visit Hunder Village and on sightseeing of Sand Dunes. Hunder is a small village where the Shyok River meets Nubra River. Hunder lies on the ancient silk rout. Hunder is most popular for the camel rides. Bactrian Double-humped Camels are used for safaris on sand dunes. Also visit to Diskit monastery and Statue of Mytriya Buddha.Diskit Monastery is the major attraction in the Nubra Valley and is the oldest and largest in the region. Close to the Monastery lies an impressive statue of Jampa Buddha. This Statue has become one of the prime attractions for tourists and is deeply appreciated for its architecture. Facing the Shyok River, the statue sits tall with a height of 32 meters and was constructed with the help of the natives of the valley.

Day 5: Nubra Valley – Pangong Lake via Shyok (New Route)

After breakfast at your camp drive to Pangong Lake via Shyok. This direct route from Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso has now become more popular in the recent past years Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso instead of coming back to Leh. Drive from Nubra to Pangong via Agham - Shyok and Continue drive to Pangong drive through Durbuk and Tangtse village situated in the Changthang region of Ladakh. Pangong Lake is salt water body of 120 km in length and 6 – 7 Km broad at the longest point. It is bisected by the international border between India & China (2/3 of the lake is in China’s possession). Visit the exact location of the famous movie “Three idiots” & enjoy outing along the banks of the lake. One really feels very close to nature at Pangong Lake with its scenic surroundings. On a clear sunny day, you can see seven colour formations in the crystal clear salt water lake. All together it covers 604 km2. During winter the lake freezes completely, despite being saline water. It’s reported there are no fish or other aquatic life in the lake. On the other hand, you will see numerous ducks and gulls over and on the lake surface.

Day 6: Pangong – Leh enroute visit Shey, Thiksey

During early morning, you can enjoy a photo - session around the lake. Post breakfast drive back to Leh through Changla Pass enroute visit Shey Palace, the erstwhile royal residence of the Ladakh monarchs, is the main attraction of Shey. The palace was built by King Deldan Namgyal in 1655 AD. Namgyal also made Shey his summer capital. It offers views of a vast expanse of the surrounding valleys Thiksey: Spectacularly sighted, Thiksey is one of the largest and architecturally most impressive gompa. There are several temples in this gompa, containing images stupas and wall painting of Buddha’s which are exquisite.

Day 7: Leh – Jispa
