Tour Plan

01

Day 1: Manali – Local Sightseeing

Arrive at Manali bus stand Pick up and transfer to Hotel. After fresh up proceed for local sightseeing of Manali "HADIMBA TEMPLE" Built in 1553 with a superbly crafted four-tiered pagoda roof, it is famous for its exquisitely carved doorway. "CLUB HOUSE" The Club House with its comprehensive facilities that include a roller-skating rink, an auditorium, billiards rooms, a library, a bar and restaurant makes wonderful outing for the day." Tibetan Monastery, Van Vihar, and "VASHIST" Well known for its hot springs. There are old temples dedicated to the sage Vashisth and to Lord Rama.

Day 2: Manali - Jispa

After a delicious breakfast at hotel visit around Leh City.

After a delicious breakfast at hotel drive to Jispa via Rohtang Pass (3980 m) and a few villages in Lahaul valley like Sissu, Gondla and confluence of Chandra & Bhaga rivers at Tandi. This route would provide you views of mountains, several streams/ waterfalls and hanging glaciers. After a short stop at Keylong is accessed from Manali It is located at an altitude of 3,080 m (10,100 ft) and cut off from the outside world from October-end to mid-May due to heavy snowfall at Rohtang Pass continue drive to Jispa. Jispa is a village in Lahaul, in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Jispa is located 20 km north of Keylong and 7 km south of Darcha, along the Manali-Leh Highway and the Bhaga River.

Day 3: Jispa - Leh

After a delicious breakfast at hotel when you leave from Jispa drive to Sarchu (4253m) drive through Dacha, Patsao, Zingzing Bar and over Barlacha-La (4892m) pass, which is one of the most dangerous passes among other passes on the way to Leh. And one can see excellent panoramic views of the high rising sky touching mountains is likely C.B., K.R. (range) and Mulkilla mushrooming mountains massif. And also, just on the top of Baralacha- La is having a lake Suraj Tal a source of two major rivers Chandra & Bhaga surrounded by C.B. mountain ranges and gradual descent down through Kalung sarai to Sarchu. Continue drive to Pang drive through two high passes are known as Lachalang-La and second one just above the Brandy Bridge and cross Moorie plains and arrive at Tanglangla Pass (5400 M) and enter in Leh Valley. Your further drive will take you to Upshi by crossing river Indus and follow the highway up to Leh. Continue drive to Leh.

Day 4: Leh local Sightseeing

After breakfast at hotel enjoy local sightseeing in Leh.

Shanti Stupa is situated on a hilltop in Chanspa built in 1991 by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu Gyomyo Nakamura. Shanti stupa provides beautiful and panoramic view of the surrounding landscape.

Leh Palace is a former royal palace of the Leh Kingdom. Located in Leh city. It is one tourist attraction of Leh city. The 17th century Palace provides spectacular views of Stok Kangri.

Hall of Fame : The Hall of Fame, located near the Leh Airfield, is a museum constructed as well as maintained by the Indian Army in the memory of the soldiers who had lost their lives during the Indo-Pak wars.

Gurdwara Pathar Sahib is a beautiful Gurdwara sahib constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak, The Gurdwara was built in 1517 to commemorate the visit to the Ladakh region of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder Guru of the Sikh faith.

Day 5: Leh - Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass (Diskit & Hunder)

After an early breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass which is situated at a height of 18360 ft and is considered as the highest motorable pass of the world. Once you arrive at Khalsar drive on the left towards Diskit& Hunder Village. Check in at your camp/Hotel. Visit Hunder Village and sightseeing of Sand Dunes. Hunder is a small village where the Shyok River meets Nubra River. Hunder lies on the ancient silk rout. Hunder is most popular for the camel rides. Enjoy Camel Safari (OPTIONAL) on the shabby double-humped Bactrian camels, which in olden days were the main mode of transport on the Ladakh-Yarkhand (Turkmanistan) trade. The Safari goes along the soft white sandy deserts with rolling sand dunes.

Day 6: Nubra Valley – Pangong Lake via Shyok

After breakfast at your camp drive to Pangong Lake via Shyok. This direct route from Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso has now become more popular in the recent past years Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso instead of coming back to Leh. Drive from Nubra to Pangong via Agham - Shyok and Continue drive to Pangong drive through Durbuk and Tangtse village situated in the Changthang region of Ladakh. Pangong Lake is salt water body of 120 km in length and 6 – 7 Km broad at the longest point. It is bisected by the international border between India & China (2/3 of the lake is in China’s possession). Visit the exact location of the famous movie “Three idiots” & enjoy outing along the banks of the lake. One really feels very close to nature at Pangong Lake with its scenic surroundings. On a clear sunny day, you can see seven colour formations in the crystal clear salt water lake.

Day 7: Pangong Lake - Leh via 3 Idiots School and Thiksey

During early morning, you can enjoy a photo-session around the lake. Post breakfast, drive back to Leh through Changla Pass. Enroute visit to 3 Idiots School: The school was featured in a 2007 episode as the Aamir Khan movie 3 Idiots. The school, where some parts of the 3-Idiots film was shot, is supported by international donors as well as Indian celebrities like actor Ameer Khan.

Day 8: Leh – Kargil via Lamayuru – Mulbekh

After delicious breakfast drive down the Indus Valley on the first leg of your journey to Kargil & Srinagar. On the way stop at Magnetic Point, Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers). Continue drive towards Kargil, Enroute visiting the dramatically located Lamayuru monastery and the adjoining “Moon land” hills.

Day 9: Kargil – Srinagar via Zojila & Sonamarg

After delicious breakfast driving through Drass (famous as the second coldest inhabited place in the world) and crossing the Zoji-la Pass (11,500-ft. / 3,505 m) to reach hill station of Sonamarg from where it’s smooth driving through the beautiful Kashmir countryside to reach Srinagar.

Day 10: Departure from Srinagar
