Tour Plan

01

Day 1: Arrive – Leh , Local Sightseeing Leh

On arrival at KushokBakula airport in Leh (situated at a height of 3,500 meters), you will be transferred to your hotel. Leh Flight is considered one of the most sensational flights in the world. During the day, acclimatize yourself with the weather and high pressure of Ladakh.

Shanti Stupa is situated on a hilltop in Chanspa built in 1991 by Japanese Buddhist BhikshuGyomyo Nakamura. Shanti stupa provides beautiful and panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. Shanti Stupa in Ladakh was built to promote world peace and a symbol of the ties between Japan and Ladakh.

In the evening, take a walk to the local bazaar in Leh and enjoy Shanti Stupa.

Day 2: Sham Valley

After delicious breakfast at the hotel get ready for an amazing excursion to the picturesque Sham Valley. The excitement of the day will begin with a visit to Hall of fame (A Museum built by Indian Army) visit GurdwaraPathar Sahib which was built in 1517 in the memory of Guru Nanak. The next is visit to the famous Magnetic Hill, Placed on Leh-Kargil-Srinagar Highway at an altitude of 11000 feet above sea level, it is also known as Gravity hill. You will be visiting Sangam Point or the confluence point of Zanskar and Indus rivers. Drive back to Leh.

Day 3: Leh – Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass

After delicious breakfast at the hotel drive to Nubra Valley (125 kms) via Khardungla Pass which is situated at a height of 18360 ft and is considered as the highest motorable pass of the world.Once you arrive at Khalsar drive on the left towards Diskit& Hunder Village. Check in at your camp/Hotel. Drive to Hunder Sand Dunes to enjoy Camel Safari (OPTIONAL) on the shabby double -humped Bactrian camels.Hunder is a small village where the Shyok River meets Nubra River. Hunder lies on the ancient silk rout. Hunder is most popular for the camel rides.

Day 4: Nubra – Leh via Khardungla Pass

After delicious breakfast drive to Yarab Tso Lake .This pretty lake is situated some 15 kms from Diskit in the Nubra Valley of the Ladakh. It is a high altitude lake that is hidden in the Sumur Village and can only be reached by trekking, though it is possible to reach this holy lake by foot from Panamik Village,Then drive back to Leh.

Day 5: Leh – Pangong Lake via Changla Pass

After a delicious breakfast drive to Pangong Lake for 01 night stay. Enroute visit to Shey Palace the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh and erstwhile royal residence of the Ladakh monarchs, is the main attraction.

Continue drive to Pangong Lake via Changla Pass (17,586 feet) third highest pass of the world and drive through Durbuk and Tangtse village situated in the Changthang region of Ladakh. Pangong Lake is salt water, 120 km in length and 6 – 7 Km broad at the longest point. It is bisected by the international border between India & China. Visit the exact location of the famous movie “Three idiots” & enjoy outing along the banks of the lake. One really feels very close to nature at Pangong Lake with its scenic surroundings. Drive back to Leh.

Day 6: Pangong Lake – Tsomoriri via Chushul, Chagga La or via Tsagala

After early breakfast drive to Tsomoriri Lake which is around 235 Kms via Chushul Route. From Spangmik, drive on right next to the lake. It is an awesome and a very scenic drive. Cross the village of Man and continue towards Merak. Continue towards Khaltse and from there to Chushul. At Chushul, you can take a quick break and visit the Chushul War Memorial, dedicated to the heroes who lost their lives in battle with China. From Chushul, head towards the high altitude pass of Tsaga La, also known as Chagga La. Today will cross 3 high altitude passes.

Tsomoriri Lake is located in an altitude of 4200 meter. The lake is famous worldwide for its picturesque beauty. While proceeding towards Tsomoriri Lake, visit the Chumathang Hot Springs and cross the Mahe Bridge. If you are lucky you can also see Himalayan marmots on the way. By late noon reach Tsomoriri Lake; upon arrival, check in at the tented camp near the lake. Later, visit the lake shores which is famous as a designated Ramsar wetland sanctuaries. It is a popular breeding and nestling area for thousands of migratory birds that include Brahimini Duck, Bar Headed Goose, Black Naked Cranes etc.

Day 7: Tsomoriri – Tsokar – Leh

After delicious breakfast drive to route down to PugaSumdo and then follow the road across the Polokongka Pass (4920 mtrs) to visit Tsokar Lake, a salt lake system in the Rupsho plateau which is home of the Changa nomads and support many rare wild life species.

Day 8: Leh –Airport

Waking up early in the morning, enjoy delicious breakfast and get to say bye to the enchanting environs of Ladakh. Pack your bags and weave all the pleasant memories of your amazing Ladakh tour, as you will be dropped at the Leh Airport for your onward journey.
